Description

A partnership event from the Historical Association and the The National Archives

Join the MAT Leader Network, the Historical Association and The National Archives for a rich and thought‑provoking day focused on history education now and in the future. Bringing together trust history leads with leading academics, subject associations and exam boards, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the big ideas shaping history teaching, alongside practical insights you can take back to your schools.

The programme explores cutting‑edge thinking on AI and history education, new perspectives on revolutions and empire, and the power of objects and material culture in bringing the past to life in the classroom. You’ll hear from respected historians and history education specialists, connect with the National Archives Education Team and the Association of Art History, and take part in a panel discussion with all major exam boards. With plenty of time built in for networking, reflection and exploration of the US 250 exhibition, the day is designed to inform, inspire and connect history leaders and educators.
